The problem it solves
In most households that employ a domestic helper, money moves as cash. You hand over a few hundred dollars, the helper does the shopping, and receipts accumulate in a drawer. At the end of the month nobody can say with confidence how much was spent, on what, or how much cash is left.
That vagueness is uncomfortable for both sides. The employer feels they should be checking but does not want to seem distrustful. The helper has no easy way to prove they accounted for everything.
Money@WeSimplyHome removes the ambiguity without adding work. The helper keeps doing what they already do — shopping, and sending a WhatsApp message. Everything else is recorded, categorised and reconciled automatically.

What it does
AI receipt scanning
Photograph any receipt and the amount, date and purpose are read automatically. Works with crumpled paper receipts, payment app screenshots and multiple receipts in one photo.
WhatsApp expense tracking
Your helper sends a message or a receipt photo to a WhatsApp number and the expense is recorded. No app to install, no account for them to manage, nothing new to learn.
Any language, however they say it
Messages are understood in English, Hindi, Hinglish, Tagalog, Chinese or a mix of them, typos and shorthand included — "sabzi liya 300" is recorded as groceries. A voice note works too: it is transcribed and then read the same way.

Spending over time, broken down by category and by person, with monthly averages, your top categories and merchants, and the best and worst months — plus a daily report and alerts when something looks off.
Helper salary and loans

Create your household — pick a name, add yourself, choose a password.

Common questions
Who is this for?
Families who give a domestic helper cash for household shopping and want a clear record of where it went. It is used by households in Hong Kong and India.
Does my helper need a smartphone app?
No. They can send a WhatsApp message or a photo of a receipt. That is the whole workflow. The web dashboard is for you.
What does the AI actually do?
It reads receipt photos. When you or your helper send a picture, Google Gemini extracts the amount, the date and what it was for, so nobody types them in. It does not make spending decisions and it never sees your login or your bank.
What language does my helper write in?
Whichever one they already use. Messages are read in English, Hindi, Hinglish, Tagalog, Chinese or a mix, shorthand and typos included, and voice notes are transcribed first. The dashboard you use is in English.
Which currencies are supported?
Currency is set per household. Hong Kong dollars and Indian rupees are both in active use, and other currencies can be configured.
What is Chores?
A second tool for the same household — the shared list of who does what at home, with reminders. It is in private use and not open for sign-up yet. Send us a note through the site if you want it, because that is how we will decide when to build it properly.
